Wisdom and Eloquence

While it will likely be many years before we offer grades 9-12, it is important to begin with the end in mind. The Rhetoric Stage builds on the knowledge and understanding accumulated in the Grammer and Logic Stage, by refining students’ ability to recognize ideas, form an argument, and then communicate with wisdom and eloquence. During these years we will see the culmination of a classical Christian education that produces students that read well, think well, and speak well, and are leaders prepared for any calling God places upon their lives.
Senior Thesis
The Rhetoric Stage culminates in the Senior Thesis. In this project, students will select a topic, subject to faculty approval. This selection may take place as early as the middle of the junior year. After selection of their topic, students will begin a period of thorough research, examining the topic’s relevance to society today. Then, typically during the spring term of the senior year, students will write and present a public defense of their topic thesis.
