Alabama CHOOSE Act
We are a CHOOSE Act Participating School!
In 2024, the state of Alabama passed the Creating Hope and Opportunity for Our Students’ Education Act (The CHOOSE Act) which provides funding through education savings accounts (ESAs) to approved families for private school tuition, fees, and other qualified educational expenses.Â
We are excited to announce that Imago Dei Academy is an approved participating school with the CHOOSE Act beginning in the 2026-2027 school year.
For the 2026-2027 Academic Year:
The renewal application portal for current participants opens December 15, 2025 and closes March 31, 2026.
The application portal for new families opens January 2, 2026 and closes on March 31, 2026.
To be eligible for the 2026-2027 academic year, the student must be in grades K5-12, be a resident of Alabama, and be in a household whose income does not exceed 300% of the federal poverty level for the 2025 tax year.
Approved families will be funded $7,000 per participating student enrolled in a participating school, such as Imago Dei Academy.
