Forming Foundations

In these early grades, students master the foundational concepts in critical areas of learning, such as spelling and science, arithmetic and art, phonics, history, music, and, of course, the Bible. We enhance the vocabulary of our students through early exposure to Latin. Grammar School sets the stage for learning that follows in middle and high school, preparing our students to excel in their thinking, reasoning, and communication.

Prioritizing Partnerships

From the time our students enter Imago Dei Academy, we aim to assist parents in the raising of their children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord (Eph. 6:4), and to assist local churches in making disciples as Jesus commanded (Matt. 28:19-20). We believe this “three-legged stool” of support – home, church, and school – provides a solid foundation for building lives seeking to glorify God in all that they do.

Starting in Grammar School, we are determined to provide a safe and orderly environment for our students. Further, we want our school to be a place where joy and excitement are evident, and where virtues such as love, justice, and courage are routinely cultivated. This is accomplished through the loving guidance of our teachers as they infuse academic lessons with Biblical truth and facilitate character-building moments daily.

Mastering the Building Blocks of Learning

Our Grammar School will focus on teaching students to memorize and absorb foundational knowledge in a variety of subjects and provide each student with a basic proficiency in reading, writing, and arithmetic.
