Roots of Imago Dei

A Greater Purpose

At Imago Dei Academy, our mission isn’t just a statement—it’s a daily commitment to providing a transformative disciple-making education.

To Cultivate
(Ephesians 4:14-15)
  • By instilling habits that will enable students to grow into godly maturity in thought, word, and deed;
  • Accomplished by partnering with families to supply a Bible saturated education that trains students how to think rather than simply what to think.
(Matthew 28:19)
  • Every child will be discipled. God does not present us with a choice between discipleship and independence, but between following Him and following the world.
  • Our aim is to encourage every student to come to a saving knowledge of Christ, and grow in the grace and knowledge of God through Christ; and
  • Develop students to be effective Kingdom ambassadors in the home, the church, and the world.
  • Discipleship will consist of modeling faith and righteousness with our lives and imparting the reasons for believing in and living for Jesus.
(Romans 12:2)
  • We look to foster minds that desire to understand the Word of God and supremacy of God; and
  • Teach students to guard, strengthen, and renew their minds, because the battle of sin always starts in the mind.
(1 Timothy 1:5)
  • Only God can purify the hearts of our students, and the instrument with which He cleans the heart is faith.
  • Love flows from a cleansed, purified heart.
  • Love overflowing from the hearts of Christ followers to one another and everyone else magnifies the greatness of God.
(Proverbs 22:6)
  • Being raised with good values and involved in a local church is not enough to keep young men and women from falling away from Christ when they leave home. Yet, those who truly know Christ cannot fall away.
  • We aim to instill habits of mind and heart that will equip young men and women to continue learning how to live in a Christ-exalting way for a lifetime, regardless of what sphere of life is pursued.
(Romans 12:2)
  • We seek to equip students how to observe, understand, and evaluate everything through the lens of the Gospel; and Nurture minds that recognize their sin and cling to the Cross.
  • God has revealed His glory in the Bible and the world and means for us to see Him in both.
(Philippians 4:4)
  • God’s worth is magnified when we treasure Him above all things; so
  • We aim to develop disciples who hold great joy in Jesus Christ; and
  • Display to students how to live in the joy of the blood-bought Gospel.
  • This is a joy that is not of this world and is not shaken by an ever-changing culture. Placing our ultimate joy in Christ is also the great liberator from cultural control.
(John 1:14)
  • The totality of the education is consciously pursued for the glory of God in Christ;
  • Purposed to develop disciples that desire to glorify God in all thoughts, words, and deeds.
(Revelation 4:11)
  • God is sovereign over all things, and as such should be integrated into every facet of education and community.
  • “the main reason God has given us minds is that we might seek out and find all the reasons that exist for treasuring Him in all things and above all things.”
    – John Piper

What Does Imago Dei Mean?

Why Classical Education?

Discipling the Next Generation

Our Mission at Imago Dei Academy

At Imago Dei Academy, our mission is clear: to cultivate disciples of Jesus Christ whose minds and hearts forever recognize and rejoice in the glory of Christ in all things. This mission drives every aspect of our school, from our classical Christian curriculum to the way we partner with families and guide students on their journey of faith and learning.

We understand that a fully educated person does not only see the truth of God in the Word He inspired, but also in the world that He made.

You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.
